I am so thankful and proud of what we have been able to accomplish with our leonbergers. Our success in the show ring is just the icing on the cake. Leonbergers are such versatile dogs. It doesn't matter what you are doing, they want to do it with you. Besides the conformation ring we also participate in dock diving, therapy dog, obedience, sikjoring and now herding. The most important job our dogs have is our co-pilots. They are very well known at our local Tim Hortons. They are part of our family. They love going out to the barn, coming along when I go out for ride, anything they can do with you will make them happy. They have been to 'show and tell' at school and in the local parades. They take over the couch, try to take the bed EVERY night, have caused more stubbed toes and near death falls at 3am because they NEED to sleep across the entire bedroom floor. Their hair is everywhere, I'm sure I have a hair ball. But, I wouldn't change any of it. They are so loyal, loving and quite frankly the perfect dog.
If it wasn't for Vali Varga of Brixi Angels Kennel in Romania I certainly wouldn't be where I am today with our leonbergers. We were so lucky that she trusted us with Akono and Benetta. Everything happens for a reason they say - and a year later we were graced with Benji from Vali aswell. Then we adopted Harrie from Dagmara, Ginger Heaven in Poland.
Our leonbergers and dachshunds are fed a raw diet. Every month I'm off to the butcher, pick up our truck load of meat and a chopping we go! The dogs must think I am one amazing hunter! Vaccines are given only when necessary. Other than the rabies vaccination, after the initial puppy series, we titre before giving additional vaccinations. We follow the Jean Dodds protocol.

All of our leonbergers have their hips and elbows x-rayed and certified by the OFA, have been tested for LPN, LEMP and have had their eyes CERF tested. We also screen for eye, cardiac and thyroid disorders.
Below you will find lots of pictures of our gang, some fancy show pictures but lots of them doing what leonbergers do best, hanging out with their family!
